one of my absolute favorite online shops for mid-century finds is MCMF, based out of san francisco. i remember when this site first popped up and i just about died. the site is updated regularly, and the pieces are all reasonably priced. my favorite part is how unique their finds are – there isn’t one thing in their shop right now that i don’t want! check out their full collection, and check it often, here.

dansk kobenstyle

some of you may recall my obsession with dansk enamelware from the 1950′s. much to my delight, they are being re-released in all their original glory! according to apartment therapy, they will be available at crate + barrel in red, white, and blue enamel – and yes, they still have the wood handles! i know i’ll be stocking up on all the white pieces, but for all the other colors, i think i’ll be sticking to vintage. for those of you who want to start your collection, or add to your existing one, here is a round up of some of my favorites for sale.

antumalal

while the mountain man and i were road tripping through south america, we crossed the border into chile to stay in the awesome adventure town of pucon. we didn’t book any hotels along the way since we never really knew where we would be, but once we arrived we discovered hotel antumalal, and almost died. the hotel, built in the late 40′s is a mid-century lovers dream FANTASY. true to it’s original design and custom made furniture, the antumalal is sincerely like stepping back in time. visited by buzz aldrin, queen elizabeth, and countless others, you can’t help but feel glamorous while you’re there (and perhaps a wee bit under-dressed). check out their website for more photos, the hotel’s story, and to book reservations here.
