is it just me, or are cute dog beds that don’t cost $80 one of the hardest things in the world to find? with two large dogs in our house, we’re always on the hunt to replace the beds they’ve recently wrestled into nothing but a fluffy mess, and are normally finding ourselves buying dog beds that aren’t exactly our taste.
enter the diy patchwork dog bed: the greatest diy i’ve seen in ages. while this one is more winter worthy, you could undoubtedly use cooler fabrics for summer months, or sturdier fabrics for the “i like to eat my bed” dog variety. and the best part is, it can be made of entirely upcycled materials – either from your own closet, or a local thrift store. if you have a larger dog, i recommend using the pillow from a standard store bought bed (stores like tj maxx, marshalls, and tuesday morning often have them at bargain prices).
