i was in a pasadena last week and had the pleasure of meeting local artist annalisa swank. i was head-over-heels in love with her latest project, sound exploration : text to music, made in collaboration with raisa park. the premise of the piece was to translate the spoken language, by transcribing a conversation into braille which then functioned as a piece of sheet music fed through a music box. the result is absolutely enchanting.
